As a guy, you can stumble through life in hot pursuit of the prize and miss the point completely.  Looking for wholeness and definition to come from your career, your hobbies, or worse yet — your habits, is a desperate existence.  All of the successes you have in life are empty and void if you aren’t grounded in the reality of Christ.  Don’t confess that you are a man of faith while your life paints an entirely different picture.  If you confess with your mouth that Christ is the Lord of your life, you better have fruit.  The kind of fruit that feeds others.

There are millions of men doing the work of God on a daily basis.  These men are unsung.  There are no parades, no banquets, no honorary parties praising the work these guys are doing… but children are being fed, families are being clothed, and lives are being changed.

Stand up with courage today and open your eyes to ways you can feed those around you spiritually, physically, and emotionally.  Build up your brothers in Christ, encourage one another, and get your hands dirty.  No one knows your heart but you and God, but everyone sees the fruit you produce.

Daily prayers are offered that the men of our world rise up and stand firm for Christ.  It’s the least we can do in exchange for the hope, love, and freedom that He gave us.  If you confess with your mouth that you are a man of God…then become consumed with the Holy Spirit and the passion of Christ.

Don’t let our culture convince you that God is disappearing from our landscape. Don’t buy into the hype that we are losing faith as a community of believers.  Men may be disappearing from the landscape of formal church gatherings (which needs an overhaul to say the least), but they’ve gone underground to prop up and hold up our nation of faithful followers of Christ.  Be that man… don’t be discouraged… get in the dirt and continue to hold up our faith.

Every day brings an opportunity to live up to the call of Christ in your life… to serve others to the point that it costs you something.  You can do this… the guys around you are counting on you.  One man can make a difference.  You can make the difference.
