The essence of Living Bold is not in simply reading about ways to become bold in your faith, but applying the good words to action.  James tells us in his epistle to not only hear the word, but do what it says.  So where is faith without action?  How do you Live Bold with no avenue of service?  It’s time to close the loop and move to action.

The book of ACTS contained in the Holy Bible is a remarkable piece of work that gives us several snapshots of the growth of Christianity across a wide range of vantage points.  You can turn to any chapter and read about the encounters and interactions all tied back to a single purpose… telling the world about Christ.

The clearest instruction for salvation in Christ comes from Peter’s sermon in Acts.  He doesn’t spend 30 well oiled minutes teaching a 3 part sermon based on the exegesis of the Hebrew lexicon repeated through the minor prophets (yawn).  He stood boldly in the court of his accusers and explained how to receive the Holy Spirit through Christ – and find transforming love and absolute contentment – and He led thousands to Christ!

We certainly feel that every believer’s life should be lived as an entry in the book of ACTS.  Every day, we should be writing our story explaining our encounter with Christ.  We should live in such a way that others see Christ in action through our caring, teaching, and serving.  You may not write it in words, but you know the story.  And if you don’t have a story about Christ’s transforming love… you haven’t encountered Him.  So what is your chapter?

When you read the book of ACTS, you’ll find a blueprint of the early Christian church.  From receiving the Holy Spirit to gathering people into places to worship – the structure is clearly defined.   ACTS tells us to bring together the like minded community of faith, obey the commands of Christ, and tell the world about Him and His glory.  All the rest of the stuff we see today is just window dressing.

Live Bold will be establishing ACTS! Chapters in as many communities as possible.  The purpose is to serve the mission of the first church to Live Bold and tell others about Christ… serve the community… and grow members to maturity.  Our ultimate hope is to make disciples for Christ and help them find a fellowship to continue growing.  We’ll provide tools, resources, training, and connections to make it happen.
