A wise king winnows out the wicked; he drives the threshing wheel over them. – Proverbs 20:26 (NIV)

Leading your home, your church, your community, or your government requires precise and exact retribution over wickedness.  Allowing devious behavior to occur under your leadership makes you an accomplice to the crime.

As Christians, we have an ordained presence and authority over wickedness and devious behavior. Christ help us open our eyes to see the gap between right and wrong – righteousness and wickedness.  When we allow wickedness to continue it’s prowl through our lives, homes, and community… we are just as guilty as the ones committing the crime.

We are not only called to lead in an Godly fashion, we are directed to drive out evil, crush it under the weight of God’s authority, and ensure that it has no life in us – around us – or through us.

Accepting the call of Christ doesn’t leave you with an option to ignore wickedness.  The responsibility of Christian leadership is laced with a call to action and a command to rid wickedness from those places in your life, home, church, and community that you are responsible for leading.  This is how righteousness prevails in a land of wickedness.  This is what Christian leadership is about.

2 Minute Drill

What wicked things have you observed in your land?

What one thing can you do to drive out and crush wickedness under your leadership?

PRAY:  God, allow me to see the evil that is committed under my nose.  Give me the courage to stand up to wickedness and grant me the tools to crush evil under my foot.  You have the authority, of which, I am only a steward. Amen.
