Life is so dadburn fragile. We run around like cowboys (10ft. tall and bullet proof ) living right on the edge. Even the average day is filled with chaos, most of which is unknown to us. I had a buddy ask me the other day if I thought we were living in the end times – you know – revelation kind of end times? I told him that the end times are happening everyday for millions of people who are going to die today.
As men of faith, we can get pretty preoccupied with the idea that we’re safe until “the signs” start showing up. The idea that we aren’t really going to occupy ourselves with this whole “faith” thing until we see horses galloping across the sky… is just plain stupid.
We need you to pull your chair up to the big boy table and participate in the fundamental part of faith… living it every day. You are one bad decision away from “it’s all good” to “oh my God!”
Take a look at the new post in the WANTED series called ORDINARY. You don’t have to throw away who you are to follow God. And if you’ve consistently changed your personality for church time… then you’re being phony and are rendered useless. You were created to be uniquely… you. Invite God to be a part of that biting sarcasm, sharp wit, intellect, hunting skills, or whatever.
Life is short… unpredictable… and too much fun to sit with sad faces and wondering what this rodeo is all about. I’m having a blast and will not shut up or lay down. All that being said… I still feel like I’m 10ft. tall and bullet proof (I wear kevlar – just in case).
We are encouraged every day by guys like yourself that are getting fuel for the day through this site and this ministry effort. Drop me an email and write me a short note of encouragement. I would like to collect those and post them here.
