A Few Words from Steve:
I’m a struggling sinner who’s thankful that God’s mercy is new every day. I also pray that He has a sense of humor; otherwise I’m in deep trouble. I love to write, but find it difficult writing about myself.
My job is working as a TV reporter in Biloxi, Mississippi. I get my hair cut by a real barber, not someone in a salon. AARP has been sending me stuff for more than two years now. I recognize that I’m over 50, but don’t feel or act like it. I love the outdoors and try and spend as much time as possible on the water, in my kayak. Photography is my hobby and passion. Creation is my favorite subject, whether it’s a gorgeous sunrise over the beach or the majestic flight of a pelican gliding just above the water. I’m blessed to have married a woman who is also my best friend. We have a beautiful daughter who makes us both very proud.
My daddy was and will always be my hero. He was a man of great faith and generosity. I met Jesus in a small, Catholic church in rural central Illinois. I’ve since become a Methodist, but understand that denominational lines mean very little. My hope in writing for Live Bold is that my experiences and reflections might serve to help deepen your faith journey in a very real and practical way.
